to use Replay Screencast?
You can use Replay Screencast on a computer running Microsoft Windows®
XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Server™ 2003. Recommended minimum
hardware is a 1.5 Ghz (GHz) processor, such as an Intel Pentium
4 or AMD Athlon XP 1800, and 64 Mb of RAM.
For Windows 2000, you must also install Microsoft
DirectX® 9.0.
For Windows Server 2003, you must enable both the Windows
Image Acquisition (WIA) and Windows Audio services. (The services
are not enabled by default.) To enable the WIA service, click Start,
click Run, type Services.msc, and then double-click
Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service. In Startup type,
click Automatic, and then click Start. Follow the
same steps to enable the Windows Audio service.

To resolve this, you need to set your Hardware Video Acceleration
to None as follows:
- Click Start, Settings, Control Panel.
- Click Display.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Advanced Button.
- Click The Troubleshoot tab.
- Change the Hardware Acceleration to None, as shown
here:
How do I improve the quality of my recorded
videos?
First of all, make sure that you have version
1.1 or higher . This update has a High Motion Video setting which improves
performance when recording.
You can also try decreasing the frame rate and the bit rate settings.
These will decrease the amount of computer processing power used
when recording.
Replay Screencast requires a lot of processing power. You may need
to record on a faster PC. A 1.5 Ghz processor is the minimum, and
at least 2.4 Ghz is optimal. |
