Let's Disable Secure Boot

The below instructions will show you how to disable Secure Boot so that Replay Media Catcher 5 can record audio. Note: You do not need to disable Secure Boot for the internet stream downloading functionality of Replay Media Catcher 5. You might want to print out these instructions or have them open on a mobile/secondary device since disabling Secure Boot involves restarting your computer. You might also want to bookmark this page to return to after disabling Secure Boot.

1. Press the Windows key + C, or (if you have a touchscreen) swipe in from the right edge of the screen to open your Charms.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Change PC Settings.
4. In PC Settings, select General.
5. Under Advanced Startup, click Restart now. The system will restart and show the Windows 8 boot menu.
6. In the boot menu, select Troubleshoot.
7. In the Troubleshoot menu, select Advanced options.
8. In the Advanced options menu, select UEFI Firmware Settings.
9. Click Restart button to boot into UEFI BIOS Setup screen.
10. Each manufacturer lays out the BIOS differently. Look through the BIOS settings and disable Secure Boot. Save settings and exit.
